Since 2009, Sohu has been working to crack down on copyright infringement in different ways to contribute to the sound development of the copyright industry. From 2009 to 2014, the company launched two campaigns against pirated works. It has worked to promote progress in copyright legislation, justice and law enforcement. First, the anti-pirate alliance led by Sohu has pushed for penalties for copyright infringements in several cases; second, it works to help improve national regulation of online storage; and third, it promotes legal definition of unfair video aggregation at the justice and administrative levels.
